Spring Sensations Poster

I  had simplistic ideas and thought of instruments, music notes and green leaves for my creative process. The technical process was difficult for me because I chose to sketch out the instruments and scan it. It was difficult to fill in the instruments with colour because when i sketched it, it wasn't outlined properly. I then added the music notes and leaves coloring them in green. Afterwards I put in the font and text with the dates and times with the title.

Focused

This skateboarder is ready and focused on learning the trick to fulfill and reach his goal.

Prepared

The skateboarder rolls up to the ledge feeling confident and prepared.

  

Half Way

The skateboarder is feeling confident on top of that crooked grind.

Bailed

He bails the trick falling and losing confidence.

Pain

You can see the pain and battle the skateboarder goes through.

As he pushes himself gaining confidence to give it another try.

Commitment 

He puts commitment with all his effort and sticking to the trick.

Fulfillment 

The fulfillment is the best feeling because nothing feels better then working for something and achieving it.

Shot types/camera angles/Framing/Camera Movements

In film, a medium shot is a camera angle shot from a medium distance. The dividing line between "long shot" and "medium shot" is fuzzy, as is the line between "medium shot" and "close-up".

Poster Design

This poster uses space with the variety of colors to separate the lettering K,n,o,l,l. As i looked closely i saw the letter N within the letter K, then O and the two L's. The use of color in this poster shows as the letter is within the other letter. It will show you it by the use of shade and bright color of the separation between the letters. As the K shows a lighter blue, the N within the K is noticeable because of it's darker blue. The O is yellow and as it goes through the K and N it makes green to show the O going through and so on. The Typography of this poster is quite simple and creative making it eye catching by it's use of colors and shades. The lettering is simple and nothing fancy to make it able to read and see.

1. The file format i chose for this image was JPG, which is a common file format that is used for digital photos and digital format. When JPG files are saved, they use "lossy" compression, meaning image quality is lost as file size decreases.  The link below shows info on JPG.

2. The size of the background image is 500 x 333. The size is important to retain the required resolution of 4x6 @ 300 p.p.i because it is the appropriate size for printing and if it was too small it wouldn't come out right.

3. My concept was basically skateboarding with scenery and the view of Philadelphia. Philly has been a big scene in skateboarding for a long time. I decided to get a background image of Love Park which is a tourist attraction in Philly and also a famous skateboarding spot. The backround image is also night time/evening which stands out more because of the lights in the city. I also got an image of professional skateboarder, Sean Malto to show the skate scene. Then i got an image of a hot air balloon which plays a role in view of the city and the background.

4. After I open up my images in Photoshop, i cropped the image of the skater and the hot air balloon using the quick selection tool. i then dragged the cropped out images onto the background to where i want them to be. I then used the quick selection tool on the Love Park logo and  used masks to put the background love park logo i quick selected and put it in front of the hot air balloon to show that it's behind in the background. I then chose my font and the appropriate size to fit in the top right corner with the colour orange to fit the night/evening vibe.
